(above via Crashburn Ally) But Philly radio station 97.5 FM The Fanatic decided to treat it as a chance to really send a message -- lighting up electronic billboards across Philly that read Hey Jimmy! Run, Don't Jog!!
OK, cute. Then when today's lineups were announced the station asked, "Jimmy Rollins starting tonight? What message is Charlie Manuel is sending to hi [sic] team?"
Earlier in the day on Mike Missanelli's show, Larry Bowa called out Phillies 1st base coach Sam Perlozzo and Jimmy's teammates for not addressing the laziness at the point it occurred. When it should have been done.
But..it did eventually get done. And it was Phillies' skip Charlie Manuel who did it. “We have two rules: Hustle and be on time,” Manuel said after he spoke to James today. “That’s all I have to say. This is between Jimmy and me.”
