If you're going to use a Method Home product you have to check for methylisothiazolinone!

We've emailed Method Products a few times over the years and they've been pretty prompt in replying. Until the question became, "Why do you use methylisothiazolinone (MIT) in your products?"

methylisothiazolinone mit allergy method home

No reply. Not to many, many emails. Not to multiple Tweets.

Method writes:

OUR MISSION

we have big plans to make the world a cleaner, greener, more colorful place. we invite everyone to join us as we pioneer a future where doing business is doing good for all.

Next to methylisothiazolinone they write, "inherently biodegradable; made from synthetic materials; low skin + eye irritation"

Complete lie. MIT is a powerful synthetic biocide and preservative within the group of isothiazolinones. Low skin and eye irritation? Then why is there an 'Epidemic of allergy to methylisothiazolinone, a preservative'?

Guess nerve damage isn't a problem for Method either.

Weak.
