Yankees Classified Mascot as 'Management': Suit

(Champ, Yankees Manager - via FB)

Scranton / Wilkes-Barre Yankees mascot 'Champ' was classified as 'marketing and community relations manager' in order to avoid paying overtime, according to a lawsuit filed by ex-Champ Brian Bonner.

The suit, Brian Bonner vs. SWB Yankees LLC - alleges his old team violated the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and the state Minimum Wage Act. The suit also states, Bonner "could sometimes work over 80 hours a week" for $22,000.

Someone needs to let Brian know that the New York Yankees also classify Hank Steinbrenner as 'Senior Vice President.'
