Canadian Politician Not a fan of Home Field Advantage

Toronto councilman Mike Layton wrote a letter to the CFL's Toronto Argonauts after they launched their Home is Where we Hurt People campaign:

“The ad may also trigger traumatic responses in the many survivors of domestic violence who are courageously moving forward with their lives.”

“Domestic violence is not acceptable. Neither is condoning domestic violence, in any form.”

The team responded:

“We were trying to depict the toughness of the game, the fact that we were going to be a worthy opponent at home. We were going to be a difficult opponent to play against and we wanted (the ad campaign) to have an edginess to it.”

And then they pulled all the posters.

Oh we'd be willing to bet that Layton is not gonna like their The Road is Where we Drink to Excess and then don't Buckle Up campaign, that's for sure.
