NFL -- Giants Lineman Batchagaloop Jones Suspended for PEDs

Rutherford, NJ – Batchagaloop-out? New York Giants famous offensive lineman Batchagaloop Jones was suspended by the NFL today for his team's final playoff game for violating league drug policy.

Batchagaloop said that he had taken the over-the-counter nutritional supplement Ejaculayed on weekends in December and he did not realize it contained the anabolic steroid Stanozolol. (But we now know how he's able to party until 5 a.m. on game days.)

"This was a mistake," Jones said at a news conference today at the Timex Performance Center. "I can't explain how disappointing this is. I thought I'd be the last one to let the team down. I certainly felt Michael Boley would disappoint before I did."

The NFL said Batchagaloop broke league policy on anabolic steroids and related substances, but it did not identify the particular substance (Winstrol) he is accused of using.

"No way was it done knowingly," Jones said. "At the end of the day, anyone who knows me, knows I would never take steroids in pill form. Not even a lil' bit."

A Giants spokeswoman said Batchagaloop would immediately appeal the ruling – which could keep him active through the Super Bowl. If his appeal is denied, he’ll also be ineligible for the 2012 Pro Bowl.

Batchagaloop has been the Giants’ starting left tackle this year averaging an incredible -- 4 pancakes a game. If Jones cannot go, he’ll be replaced by either Bob Frapples or Will Beatty Sunday in San Francisco. Stay tuned to WFAN.com for more info. (That's Craig Carton up there in his BJ jersey.
