What Hollywood Star Tells Men's Fitness He'd have Stopped Flight 93 Terrorists?

Todd Beamer was the passenger aboard United Airlines Flight 93 which was hijacked as part of the September 11 attacks in 2001 that is credited with leading a group that downed the plane's terrorists with "Are you guys ready? Okay, let's roll." Around here, we call that heroic (locally the Cranbury NJ Post Office is now named after him). Mark Wahlberg is a premiere star who, until today's NY Post revealed what he said to Men's Fitness, we liked a lot. Liked:

"If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did," Wahlberg tells the magazine. "There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, 'OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry. We certainly would have tried to do something to fight," he said. "I've had probably over 50 dreams about it."

But why stop there Mark? How about if you had been on American Airlines Flight 11? Why not just claim you could have averted 9-11?

Deena Burnett-Bailey, whose husband Thomas Burnett phoned her from 93, asked TMZ: "Does Mark Wahlberg have a pilot's license? Then I think hindsight is 20/20 and it's insignificant to say what you would have done if you weren't there." Adding, "The plan for Flight 93 was foiled by heroes. For him to speculate that his presence on board could have stopped everything is silly and disrespectful. Sounds like someone is grandstanding."

No, more like douchebagging.
