10-year-old New Jersey girl sets world squat record...for all age groups

4'5", 10-year-old New Jersey girl Naomi Kutin set a world record for the 97-pound division of any and all ages in the raw squat event by lifting 214.9 pounds at the RAW Unity weightlifting championships in Texas. "When I was younger, my friends would be doing a lot of things that I couldn't do, and I wanted to do something extraordinary," an excited Kutin said. "I wanted to break a record of some sort and I just really wanted to get this record."

Kutin reset the record by breaking a 44-year-old's raw squat of 209 pounds. Last year, 9-year-old Kutin set the then record for 97 pounders at 187 pounds (at a body weight of 88 lbs).
