The New York Mets honored Gary Carter during opening day festivities today in Flushing. First, the team wore #8 warm-up uniforms (above, via SNY's Matt Dunn) and then WFAN announcer Howie Rose lead a tribute followed by a moment of silence.
Carter's wife Sandy, his three children, Kimmy, Christy and D.J. (Douglas) unveiled a commemorative logo on the outfield fence.
