Olympic Swimmers Chastised for Posing with Guns in a Legally Run US Shop

Swimming Australia said it did not condone the posting of 'inappropriate content' on facebook and Australian Olympic chief Nick Green said the photo was foolish. The photo? Swimmers Nick D'Arcy and Kenrick Monk posing with shotguns and a handgun.


Note to Olympic athletes: If you're going to take a picture with a shotgun, folks will compare it to the the massacre of 35 people in Port Arthur in 1996. Pose with semi-automatics? Virginia Tech gunman Cho Seung-Hui references. Because folks are stupid.

However, in this case -- D'Arcy has a long history of being a drug using douche who likes to beat people up. Monk once wasted police time by filing a false police report claiming he was the victim of a hit and run when he had actually fallen off a skateboard. So enjoy the heat, jackasses.
