87-year-old Veteran Turns 4th of July Parade into Animal House Scene, Runs down Fellow Vet

CUDAHY, WI -- An 87-year-old VFW was overcome by heat while driving his PT Cruiser in a Wisconsin Fourth of July parade...running over fellow veteran, 53-year-old Brad Smith.

"I remember (thinking) why is the car hitting me because of slope of the car of the hood -- it more or less picked me up over the hood," recalled Smith. "I don't remember hitting the windshield I didn't feel it." Adding, "I thank the Lord," said Smith. "I'm one lucky son of a gun."

Smith received 6 stitches and is on the mend. The driver? He's reportedly fine but 'feels bad' about the incident.
