Deceased Hockey Player Ruslan Salei's Life Celebrated in Sand Art

September 7th is the one year anniversary of the Russian plane crash that killed 44 people including the players and coaching staff of the KHL's Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

Here is a sand art tribute to Ruslan Salei, who perished in the crash and who at various times played for the Anaheim Ducks, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche and Detroit Red Wings, at the first Ruslan Salei Memorial Tournament.
