Phelps wins gold in 200-meter individual medley, Lochte silver

Michael Phelps won the gold in the 200 meter individual medley today, besting teammate Ryan Lochte who brought home the silver. Phelps became the first male swimmer to win the same event three Olympics in a row.(Hungary's Laszlo Cseh took bronze.)

For those counting that's 16 golds for Michael, 20 medals overall.

Earlier (31 minutes earlier), Tyler Clary upset Loche in the 200-meter backstroke. Set a new record Olympic best of 1:53.41 to boot.
