One Would Think that Google's Blogger Service Would be a Great Tool for Teachers and Students to Use...One Would Think

Google's Blogger (Blogspot) service is free (you view an ad after you've completed publishing and or editing a post) and 99.9% reliable uptime wise. In theory it should be a great tool for teachers to use with their students. But what happens when, all of a sudden, it isn't there for you.

This happens.

See, Google's blogspot doesn't have a direct support line. One is forced to post one's problems in a forum and then hope volunteers chime in and lend a hand. The example above shows how good those volunteers can be. But it also shows how ineffective Google can be when it comes to a problem you are having as a user.

Back in April we wrote of Google's 'New Coke' moment. Blogspot was rolling out a new interface for its users. The new interface, even in Google's own browser, Chrome, was/is riddled with problems. Some users have reported not being able to load it, not being able to schedule posts, and some 'seeing impaired' users have complained that they cannot clearly see the interface.

The interface roll out was paused. Users posted on the Blogger Forums any number of problems.

Today, the new interface took over like a virus. If you are a blogspot user - you got it. What was fixed in the past 5 months? Seemingly most can load it and you may be able to schedule posts. However, the complaints continue en masse. At last look the forum has grown to 4 threads. So...if you have a problem -- post it at [Problem Rollup] V4: I do not like the New Blogger Interface because ...
