Yankees Alex Rodriguez and Nick Swisher are not in Joe Girardi's lineup for tonight's ALCS game. Swisher is batting 11-for-61 (.180) with 23 strikeouts against Game 3 starter Justin Verlander, and, btw, he's Nick Swisher. A-rod, mired in a 3 year postseason slump is still Arod -- and he's 8-24 with 3 homers in his career against the righty. That's a .333 clip.
If the Yankees are benching (now take a deep breath and think about that for a minute) Alex Rodriguez in the middle of the ALCS -- what can they possibly do next with him and his enormous and long contract?
Oh, and Eduardo Nunez is playing...at short!
