NFL, NFLPA; NBA, NBPA donate $1M for Sandy relief

The National Football League and the NFL Players Association have combined efforts and will donate $1 million to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief. The National Basketball Association and the NBA Players Association also pledged $1 million for relief efforts.

The Yankees are donating $500k to aid with Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and are sponsoring a blood drive to help replenish supplies after Hurricane Sandy on today from 10am-4pm at Manhattan's Gotham Hall.

The Oakland A's Community Fund will be accepting monetary donations to help support those affected by Hurricane Sandy. The Oakland Athletics will be funding proceeds to The Salvation Army.

The NHL is encouraging fans to donate to the Red Cross disaster relief fund to help victims.
