Joe Benigno made Rich Eisen Uncomfortable as he Dumped all Over DJ Hayden Today
University of Houston cornerback D.J. Hayden almost died in practice after a teammate's knee hit him in the chest causing a tear in the inferior vena cava in his heart. (Google it, it's insane.) When the NFL Network's Rich Eisen suggested to Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts today that he wouldn't be surprised if the Jets went after him, Benigno dropped a "I want no part of him" as Eisen retold the near-death story. Roberts cackled in apparent agreement.
"That's just not the way to look at this stuff, Matt," Eisen responded. "Seriously, this kid has come back and he has shot up draft boards..."
Only Joe & Evan could take that lead and turn it into that much tasteless [serious] stupidity.
Joe Benigno says he gets it. And yet, he never does.
