Official Video: Craig Carton on FOX Radio: "Mike Francesa has 'issues' and...we do not get along."

We quoted then WNEW's Craig Carton on Mike Francesa during one of our book giveaways last week: I made a point of attacking him whenever he made a mistake on the air or lied about something he had said. And then alluded to the specific lying incident (Super Bowl 42 pick) that led to the time Carton "took a phone call (in front of his entire crew) from a pissed off Francesa in which Mike demanded, in an obscenity laced bitch fest, that Craig stop attacking him."

We asked, and were denied, permission from Simon & Shuster to excerpt that portion of the book (page 245). Because Francesa sells books (see inset).

Mike Francesa has always lied with impunity from WFAN. From loyalty oaths, to NJ law enforcement sources, to Matt Harvey. Mike has become a compulsive, pathological liar who now drops them over stupid, small issues. Yesterday a caller said Mike had spent the long part of a show talking about how Andy Pettitte could make the Hall of Fame if he hit 300 wins. Mike said 'No way pal. I never had that show.' Except, of course, that he did.

Brian Kilmeade welcomed Carton to the Fox News Radio program Kilmeade and Friends yesterday, and while Craig touched on working with Boomer Esiason and Joe Benigno - it was his take that 'Francesa has issues' that went viral.



'Loudmouth' finished down at #512 #782 in Books on Amazon yesterday (dropping to #2 in its niche categories and from an overall high, that we spotted, of #388) while Dwight Gooden's Doc: A Memoir was a tick behind at #517. Interesting to see today if either of these 2 have legs.
