Bizarre Sports Illustrated Cover Boy A-Rod Wants to 'Continue to be a Roll Model'

Alex Rodriguez covers this week's Sports Illustrated. The one with the The Last Days of A-Rod (Nothing dies pretty. Reputations, marriages, dream careers: They can sail for sails undented: even at 38, you can be all kinds of gorgeous. But the end? The End is Pain, and Pain is Ugly) cover. And A-Rod is as bizarre as Arod always is. The probable pending self-inflicted banishment? It's 'noise':

"Look, it's concerning," Rodriguez tells SI. "I have two daughters at home, and I'm sensitive to that, and above all, I want to be a role model, continue to be a role model -- especially to my girls.

"So all the noise sometimes gets on my nerves, but that's it. I can't let it get any further than that. I have a job to do."

"I'm not giving up," Rodriguez says. "I have tremendous faith, and hopefully there's a couple more chapters to this book. And hopefully there's a happy ending somewhere. I have faith."

Alex Rodriguez is one sick middle aged ball player man.
