1998 Prison Surveillance Video Shows John Gotti Telling Grandson 'You Gotta Take Steroids' to be a Baseball Player

Marion, Illinois -- Back in 1998, John Gotti took a federal penitentiary meeting with his daughter Victoria and his grandson John. After Victoria confirmed the senior Gotti's push that his grandson 'might go to law school' -- the younger John said, no, he wanted to play pro ball.

The Post points out that 1998 was "the same year that Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa both broke Roger Maris' single-season home run record"...and no one in baseball noticed any drug use.

"You ain’t gonna be a baseball player or a basketball player,” Grandpa told him in the surveillance video below. "Let me tell you something about baseball and basketball players. First of all, you got to be a good liar, a good lowlife, and an imbecile." Victoria added, “You gotta take a lot of drugs,”

Gotti continued, "You gotta take steroids. You must take steroids! And anybody that takes steroids is a garbage pail."

"Fine then, I’ll be a crook." Just like Alex Rodriguez...
