Yankees get the win after grounds crew fails tarp deployment... and the Rangers cannot protest

The Yankees ground crew could not get the tarp down in a timely fashion last night in the top of the 5th with New York leading the Texas Rangers 2-1. The epic fail led to this new infield lake (via Dallas Morning News Baseball Columnist/sports blogger Evan Grant).:

It took an amazing 15 minutes to get the tarp on the ground.



“We were told we can’t protest it,” Rangers Manager Ron Washington said. “But we complained.”
