Just over a week ago, according to well-embedded moles, Mike Francesa and FAN boss Mark (Cardinal) Chernoff argued when Francesa indicated he does not want to go to Arizona to do a week of sermons during the run-up to Super Bowl XLIX.
We cannot report if the Cardinal, who obviously wants his afternoon-drive Gasbag at the Supe Site, offered to send a portable balcony to Arizona. Or the Pope Mobile, so the All-Knowing One can cruise around the desert.
Still, according to our spies, the animated argument (one snoop claimed it was a “screaming match”) did include some threats.
Guess we will find out how this lovely conversation turned out when Super Bowl week rolls around.

You might recall Mike's ex-partner Chris Russo once relayed a story of traveling with Mike to Howard Stern. The rutkus? Francesa refused a flight to cover an Indiana / Knicks playoff game because it was a commuter flight with no first class. It led to Mike and Chris working but not talking outside of the show...for months.
Not shocking. Francesa doesn't travel easily.
