Sources said the Bombers pitcher “started freaking out” at airline workers, according to the report.
Sabathia — who earned $23 million last season — was planning to take the flight with an entourage of 11 other people.
Despite the rhubarb, Sabathia didn’t end up in hot water with the law.
Cops who came to the scene helped him cool off without putting anyone in handcuffs, according to the the report. No summonses were handed out.
Sabathia booked a later flight for his entire party and made it to Jamaica for his vacation, the report said.
A PA official would say only that police responded to an argument at a United Airlines ticket counter that night.
Sabathia was in a party of 12 first-class passengers about 6:45 p.m. for a 7 p.m. flight.
The official could not confirm that the incident involved Sabathia — but said the argument was sparked because those in the traveling party had to reschedule their flight since they wouldn’t have made it through security in time otherwise.
The group ended up booking a new flight to Montego Bay after the PA cops arrived.
A spokesman for the Yankees did not return calls.
