Tom Brady endorsed NeuroSafe...a spelling impaired creatine CONCUSSION supplement

Seahawks QB Russel Simmons is still the NFL dope with the most irresponsible concussion tweet of all time...but only because Patriots douche Tom Brady apparently never tweeted that, "NeuroSafe makes me feel comfortable that if I get a concusion [sic] I can recover faster and more fully. There is no other solution on the market today that can do what NeuroSafe does. It's that extra level of protection that gives me comfort when I'm out on the field."

He only had it attributed to him by the company.

That's right. That idiot endorsed something calling itself the 'seatbelt for your brain.'

And NeuroSafe's marketing was even more potentially fraudulent than that.

Anatomy of a Concussion

It seems that you can't watch SportsCenter without hearing about an athlete affected by head injury. Whether it is the hockey player out three weeks after being checked into the boards, or the quarterback considering retirement from repeated concussions, head injuries are prevalent in the sports world. But not just elite athletes are affected. The Centers for Disease Control estimate that over 300,000 people per year suffer significant head injuries participating in sports. Half of all those will suffer some kind of temporary impairment and six percent will suffer permanent damage. Concussions are often referred to as a “silent epidemic” because they often go unreported and untreated so the actual number of injuries is likely much higher

The Phases of a Head Injury

Sports-related traumatic brain injury (SRTBI) begins with some force being applied to the head. Typically, this force involves rapid deceleration of the head, either from a collision or whiplash type event. This can cause bleeding, stretching, and sheering of brain tissue and other mechanical damage. But for most, this is only the beginning. After the initial injury, in which necrotic cell death occurs from the initial insult, chemical changes in the brain lead to a second phase of cell death called apoptosis. In the secondary phase of a SRTBI a cascade of changes in the brain occur resulting in the death of neuronal cells. This process is called the excitotoxic cascade. This excitotoxic cascade is chemical rather than physical. Damage can occur hours or even days after the initial injury. The cell death in this phase is often referred to as programmed cell death or cell suicide. In this process cells that are less injured than those that have already died immediately begin an adaptive response by repairing the injured elements within the cell or if they are more severely injured, the active elimination of cells that are presumably too damaged to be repaired. Cells, in their attempt to recover, purge severely injured cells causing a second and in some cases, larger wave of brain cell die off. While little can be done about the initial mechanical trauma and cell death, the chemical changes and resultant damage from the excitotoxic cascade can be ameliorated by chemical neuroprotection.

Symptoms of a SRTBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of damage to the brain. Mild cases may result in a brief change in mental state or consciousness, while severe cases may result in extended periods of unconsciousness, coma, or even death.

After the Fact

Unfortunately, despite extensive research and continued efforts by the emergency medical community there is little that can be done to reduce the effects of SRTBI after the injury has been suffered. Neuroprotection has only been established as a preventative method, not a post-injury treatment. While brain researchers continue to study methods of helping SRTBI sufferers post-TBI, to date, no effect post-injury treatment exists for SRTBI.

NeuroSafe™ is the patent-pending neuroprotective drink that protects your brain from the consequences of sports-related traumatic brain injury. NeuroSafe uses an array of scientifically proven neuroprotective compounds to protect the user from the consequences of brain injury. Any athlete who participates in a sport such as football, rugby, soccer, or hockey, that has a high likelihood of brain injury should protect
themselves and their future by using NeuroSafe daily in season. Besides protective equipment, NeuroSafe represents the only preventative measure available to athletes to protect their brain. When used consistently, NeuroSafe helps to dramatically improve recovery from head trauma by providing the brain the nutrients it needs to repair itself.

If you participate in contact sports, you are almost certain to experience a head trauma. Further, even for seemingly minor injuries potential consequences of traumatic brain injury are difficult to predict. Until now, there was little you could do to protect yourself. NeuroSafe is a patent-pending formula that helps protect your brain from the secondary effects of sports-related traumatic brain injury. It is a daily drink that should be taken in season by every person participating in sports with a moderate to high risk of head injury.

Who Needs NeuroSafe?

If you participate in contact sports, you never know when you are going to take a blow to the head. And you never know the potential consequences of traumatic brain injury. Until now, there was little you could do to protect yourself. NeuroSafe is a patent-pending formula that helps protrotect your brain from the secondary effects of sports-related traumatic brain injury. It is a daily drink that should be taken in season by every person participating in sports with a moderate to high risk of head injury.

Am I a good candidate for NeuroSafe?:

• Do I participate in a sport with a high likelyhood for collisions?
• Have I ever had a concussion?
• Have I ever had my "bell rung"?
• Have I observed a team mate get a concussion?
• Are there regular mico-impacts to your head (like heading the ball in soccer)?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should seriously consider the protection of NeuroSafe.

How NeuroSafe Works

Athletes expose themselves to the risk of injury every time they play or practice. And, more signifiantly, they expose themselves to the risk on sports-related traumatic brain injury (SRTBI). SRTBI is a "silent epidemic" among athletes competing in contact sports. Many injuries are never diagnosed and treated and SRTBI has a cumulative effect known as second impact sydrome that is far more dangerous than one incident.

NeuroSafe respresents a revolutionary approach to protecting athletes with a probablity for head injury. Rather than treating brain injuries after the fact, NeuroSafe actually puts nueroprotective compounds into the brain where they can slow and stop the processes that damage your brain, leading to reduced injury and quicker recovery.

Reducing the severity of injury is critally important because head injuries can cause permanent damage and have cumulative effects. The quicker the brain can be retored to equilibrium, the better the athlete can recover from the injury.

Active Ingredients

Part of the family of compounds that comprise the Vitamin E family, tocotrienols are many times more potent as neuroprotectants than their more common cousins, tocopherols. Tocotrienols, when present in the brain at the time of injury, have been shown to block glutamate-induced cell death, a central contributor to the secondary effects of sports-related traumatic brain injury (SRTBI). Tocotrienols have been demonstrated to be a safe dietary supplement for daily consumption.

Creatine is an amino acid that is produced in the liver, kidneys, and pancreas. It is also available as a nutritional supplement. Creatine supplementation has been shown to offer significant protection from synaptic dysfuntion and cortical tissue loss in the case of SRTBI. Creatine contributes to the cellular balance and integrity leading to a neuroprotective effect if taken consistently prior to the injury.

Magnesium is critical for many processes in the brain. Magnesium levels in the brain are decreased after SRTBI. This process depletes the brain of this vital nutrient. Treating patients post-traumatically with magnesium has proven to be ineffective, however, magnesium pre-treatment has been shown be shown to be neuroprotective.

Essential to normal brain function, zinc is important in neuronal repair. Zinc protects neuronal cells from both death from the initial injury and the subsequent apoptic cell death that happens in the secondary phases of head injury. Adequate zinc reserves are critical to restoring balance to the brain and stopping the excitotoxic cascade. Supplemetation in advance of injury has been shown to be neuroprotective and, like magnesium, is ineffective if adminitered after the trauma.

Low levels of this chelating agent help the brain process the minerals that are released into the brain when a head injury occurs.

Certain nutrients in NeuroSafe are sensitive to an acidic environment. Your stomach is such an environment (pH 2). NeuroSafe utilizes a specific carbohydrate matrix to ensure quick uptake from the stomach. The matrix creates and optimal environment to facilitate the transfer of the nutrients to the bloodstream. NeuroSafe also employs Bioprene®, a proprietary extract that enhances nutrient absorption, especially minerals.

How does NeuroSafe Work?

NeuroSafe puts proven neuroprotecive agents in the brain before any potential injury so that in the event of trauma, the brain can have the resources it needs to repair and return to normal as quickly as possible. Using NeuroSafe should reduce the severity of the injury and speed recovery.

How do I use NeuroSafe?

Simply stir NeuroSafe into 8-12 oz. glass or bottle of water. Do not use juice. For best results, take first thing in the morning or after a workout. Use every day in season starting ten days before contact begins. Remember, many injuries occur during practice, so begin your NeuroSafe program accordingly.

Should I continue to supplement with other creatine products?

There is no need to use any other creatine in conjuction with NeuroSafe. NeuroSafe employs Ph neutral, carbohydrate uptake, and gastric emptying technology to ensure optimal creatine absorption. Additionally, NeuroSafe uses pure, micronized creatine monohydrate, for easy mixing and faster uptake.

Is NeuroSafe safe to use daily?

Yes, all of the ingredients have been approved for daily use and have excellent track records for not only safety, but also for beneficial effects beyond its neuroprotective benefits. All Neurosafe’s ingredients are essential for normal, healthy brain functioning.

Is NeuroSafe safe for juvinile athletes?

Creatine has not been extensively studied for safety in a pediatric (under 18) population but initial studies appear promising. Still, some medical practitioners recommend caution with creatine supplementation in young persons. There are no documented negative effects of the pediatric use of creatine. However, head injuries effect the growing brain even more severely than in adults. Each parent needs to carefully consider the potential concerns and benefits before giving their child any supplement.

Can I be certain that NeuroSafe won't cause a false positive drug test?

Yes, NeuroSafe's manufacturing is assessed by NSF International & found to be in compliance with GMP requirements in NSF/ANSI Standard 173, Section 8 -- Dietary Supplements. This assures that the highest levels of care, professionalism and ethics are used when manufacturing NeuroSafe.

If I am larger, should I take more NeuroSafe?

One serving per day is adequate for most people, but larger people (>220 pounds or 100 kg) with high activity levels may take two servings per day.
