Craig Carton speaks on the topic of Tourette's & hope that this oral orthotic may suppress its tics
Say what you want about his radio persona - real life Craig Carton is a pretty good dude. And as someone who battles Tourette Syndrome and watches family members do the same - he created the TicTocStop foundation. One of the first things they've done is come up with the idea of an orthotic -- a mouth appliance that potentially has the effect of mitigating the frequency and severity of tics associated with TS. It's a new idea in treating the effects and they're proud of the work they've done as a team to design and develop this idea to the point where it is a real product now undergoing Clinical Study at the University of Tennessee. (Read more about that here.)
Carton recently spoke about the Tic Guard and the foundation as a whole.
