Today we spoke with Joe Bellafore in 'Executive Customer Relations.' Mr. Bellafore let us know that A) They are not planning on readding YES anytime soon. B) Comcast is not planning any rebates despite dropping the overly expensive channel. C) There is plenty of time before baseball season.
Joe added that Comcast works hard to negotiate the best price for channels so that they can keep subscriber costs as low as possible.
YES Network doesn't agree, responding, "COMCAST CLAIMS THEY DROPPED YES DUE TO PRICE. THAT'S NOT TRUE. COMCAST HAS BEEN PAYING THE RATE FOR MONTHS, BUT HAVE JUST NOW DECIDED TO DROP YES." (All caps theirs.)
Either way, if you're paying for a package with Comcast at X dollars last month and it included YES and this month it will not -- isn't Comcast paying less overall for the channels in your same priced package?
YES. Yes they are.
