A story that’s fit to steal

ESPN’s rank, self-promotional dishonesty, although now common, should not be allowed to persist as a matter of course.

On Friday, FOX’s Ken Rosenthal delivered the scoop on Zack Greinke signing with Arizona. CBS’s Jon Heyman next added a few details.

But ESPN credited the scoop to “ESPN’s Pedro Gomez and multiple reports.” And that stinks; it’s stealing.

Embarrassing.
