Craig Carton would like to start serving prison term 'as soon as possible'

Prior to today's sentencing, Craig Carton told us that he figured that he'd have roughly one month to get his affairs in order before reporting to prison. He also said that he wouldn't take that much time.

"I'll probably look to report within a week. I'd like to begin serving quickly so I can finish up as soon as possible," he said at the time.

His surrender date was set for July 15 today, not May 5th. So now we'll see if that changes anything. In addition, Carton’s lawyer asked to be allowed until Monday, April 8 to request the prison site Carton will be sent to.
