New York, NY -- Chipper Jones Day at Citi Field? Atlanta Brave Chipper Jones will be honored by the New York Mets in September as the veteran 3rd baseman retires from baseball, WFAN's Craig Carton revealed on the Boomer & Carton show today. Chipper has hit 48 HRs, 154 RBI, and has a career .318 batting average against the Mets so it makes perfect sense to honor the guy who said during the 1999 NLCS (where the Braves downed the Mets 4 games to 2) "Now, all the Mets fans can go home and put their Yankees' stuff on," giving life to the eventual Mets fans for Yankees Cartonian movement.
