Jets RB Goodson Arrested by NJSP on Weapons, Drug charges

The background checks the Jets run continue to turn up peaches. New running back Mike Goodson has been arrested on drug and weapons offenses:

Sources say Goodson and a companion were found intoxicated in an SUV along Route 80 in Denville [early this morning]. Authorities have not said why the car was stopped on the highway.

Goodson was being taken to a hospital when authorities discovered marijuana in his possession. Officers searching the SUV also found a loaded 45-caliber handgun.

Both Goodson and his companion, identified as Garret Evans, were taken to a hospital for an evaluation. They were then released to State Police custody and transported to the Netcong barracks.
