August 25th we began asking, "How many weekends will WFAN's Rick Stacy go swim at Jones Beach now that he's had the NeoGraft automated hair transplant?"
September 17, Mike Francesa said, "Yeah I know Rick Stacy, I was just talking to him outside. [Laughter.] He's a good guy. I never heard of the guy. [Laughter.] Never seen him, people ask me - do you know that guy? Yeah, sure, I know him well. He'll be going to Jones Beach in November."
That post lead to NY Hair MD recording a new spot in which Stacy wasn't at Jones Beach every weekend any more. Good thing for the Florida based face of the Orlando Hair Restoration Center!
Craig Carton followed up after that post by stating, "I worked with Rick Stacy. I knew Rick Stacy. Rick Stacy was a friend of mine. If someone at WFAN turned Rick Stacy from CBS on to the hair restoration experts at New York Hair MD, I would know about it!" And yet, he'd never seen him there for the multiple visits the ads infer. Carton then went on to make fun of the Frankenstein scar other hair plugs leave one with and recommend that LeBron James and he hook up soon.
Today? Rick Stacy who?! Joe Benigno joins Francesa, Carton, Boomer and Recco in mocking the NeoGraft hair plugs. The great SamSpinChat grabbed Joe Benigno yelling: "Rick Stacy supposedly works at the FAN. You tell me, where is this guy? Milwaukee? Who in the world is Rick Stacy?! If you're going to have a spot with a guy who works at the FAN could you actually have a guy who works at the FAN in the spot? Rick Stacy who?!"
Mission accomplished.
