HS Runner Holland Reynolds Collapses, Crawls to Finish in Tribute to Coach [Video]

University High School (California) runner 16-year-old Holland Reynolds, collapsed during her school's state championship competition and then crawled to the finish line - giving the school the win. The raw video is amazing.

"I just kept on telling myself, 'I need to finish and I need to cross the line,'" Reynolds said. "I don't remember falling, but then I remember crawling across the line."

Part of the reason she 'needed to finish'? She was honoring her coach, Jim Tracy, who suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease).

Reynolds said she was diagnosed with dehydration and light hypothermia.

ABC News caught up with Holland:

University High School has set up a trust fund for Jim Tracy to help with medical bills and living expenses as he battles ALS. Checks payable to the "Jim Tracy Special Needs Trust" can be sent to University High School, 3065 Jackson Street, San Francisco, CA 94115.
