Would Have Expected Even More Olympics Buzz than what is now Reported

Research from Interpublic Group’s Momentum indicates that the word 'Olympics' was mentioned 26 million times during the 2012 games across blogs, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter as well as other sites and message boards.

We had over 25 posts alone with the word Olympics in it so we would have guessed higher.

Sentiment was also reportedly 'favorable,' 68-32%...except for McDonald's.

Among Olympic sponsors, McDonald’s was the most-talked-about brand with a 24% share of sponsor-related comments. The Momentum-Radian research didn’t break out sentiment for the brands by percentage but noted that McDonald’s received many comments questioning the appropriateness of a fast-food chain as a major sponsor of an athletic event.

Dunno. 68-32 seems pretty, pretty generous.
