Steelers can't find hotel in NY, NJ -- must travel Sunday

The hotel that the Pittsburgh Steelers were to stay at on Saturday in Jersey City is still without power so the team will fly in on Sunday for their 4:25pm game with the NY Giants.

The Steelers were scheduled to stay at the Westin in Jersey City but that hotel has been without power since Hurricane Sandy struck. The Steelers checked area hotels and were unable to find one close enough with enough vacant rooms and also did not want to further disrupt an area where people whose homes were damaged are themselves searching for hotel rooms.

You like that? They "did not want to further disrupt an area where people whose homes were damaged are themselves searching for hotel rooms." You know...unlike Mayor Bloomberg and The ING New York City Marathon which 'is not going to redirect any focus' from recovery on Staten Island, elsewhere.

New Jersey is running low on water - perhaps Gov Christie can head over to NYC an pick up the thousands of half used water bottles that runners will litter the streets with. Litter which, of course, NYC workers will be needed to be on the job to clean up.
