5 years ago, Mike & the Mad Dog ripped a clueless Boomer & Carton over contest question

The Major League Baseball All-Star Fan Fest in New York, 7/11/08. Mike Francesa and Chris Russo, in their last public appearance as a duo, took the time to rip the sensitive duo of Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton over a mistake during a contest regarding Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hitting streak. Francesa: "How many tickets do we have to give away Cherny, 42? Because the guys in the morning are totally clueless, right? I mean they don't have any idea. Here's the first thing about questions, if you ask a contest question -- actually know what the answer is. It's a good idea, it helps."

Oh boy. Last week, before Francesa had his police escort to LGA Sunday, Mike screwed a caller out of a chance to answer questions that could have sent him to the Super Bowl...

The call above was featured in the NY Post today and the caller who was ripped is in the midst of dialogue with WFAN executives. (The same execs who were forced to dole out a $11,000 dollar trip because Francesa and staff didn't count correctly.)

We'll let you know what CBS provides as a remedy.
