Zack Wheeler nailed a Dominican teammate on the Las Vegas 51's last Saturday during an intrasquad game after Dominican infielder Aderlin Rodriguez showboated following a home run and that that led to “Some of the American guys and some of the Latin guys were circling and yelling at each other,” according to a Daily News source. Mets GM Sandy Alderson addressed the altercation with Mike Francesa yesterday (4:00 min mark).
Asked whether there was a racial undertone to the altercation Sandy replied, "It did to some extent factor in."
