This is my friend Andrew Penarubia. He is one of the nicest people we have in today's world. He motivates me and many other people who are surrounded by him. Andrew has a story like no other person. At the age of 7, Andrew and his friends just got back home. They played Playstation, laughed and enjoyed life. While he was playing Playstation, his left arm began to feel numb. So numb that he dropped the controller and began to cry. Then he got worse by losing his vision. A family member called 911 and help was on the way. They rushed Andrew to the hospital and hooked him up to many tubes and IV's.
Doctors confirmed that he had experienced a brain anuerysm.
There was so much blood that they couldn't have surgery on him and gave him a 50-50 chance of surviving. His family, friends and community sent a whole prayer chain out to pray for him. Not only in the US but in the Phillipines and Guam as well.
Instead of giving up on him, family members challenged the medical staff to try and save Andrews life. He fought hard by showing signs of life. There were days were he tried to open his eyes and his hands. His condition was progressing day by day. One day they took out his feeding tube. Then another day he could breathe without a respirator. The prayers for Andrew were being answered. Two months after his near death experience, Andrew was finally able to go back home!
He was welcomed back by his family, friends, neighbors, community members, everyone. The same year he was awarded Student of the month at his school. He is now paralyzed on half his body but nothing stops him from what he wants to do. He plays the ukulele with one hand for the GHS [Glendora High School] band along with many other things.
Andrew impacts everyone who is blessed to be around him. I am one of the people who he has truly made an impact on my life. This was his moment and I made it a goal to record this just for him. So Andrew this is for you buddy, keep doing what your doing and God will do the rest!!!
