Joe Torre's Daughter Cristina Caught an Infant as it Fell from a Frozen Yogurt Shop's Awning

That's a headline you didn't expect. Joe Torre's 44-year-old daughter Cristina spotted 1-year-old Dylan Miller on top of a frozen-yogurt shop on Third Avenue at 92nd Street at about 9:20 a.m yesterday. And as she called 9-11, the bambino fell.

“All of a sudden it slipped, and it was dangling and holding on with its hands,” Cristina told WNBC/Channel 4 last night.

“I just put out my arms, and literally, it was effortless. It was meant to be. He landed in my arms.”

“She always had good hands. I don’t know if they’re mine or not,’’ Joe told The Post at Yankee Stadium. “I’m so proud of her.’’

Little Dylan had pushed a cardboard barrier out a second-floor window, and then crawled onto the fire escape, a source said. He then tumbled onto the awning and through the hole for the ladder before landing in Cristina’s arms, sources said.

Parents Tiffany Demitro, 24, and Sam Miller, 23, have been arrested and, sadly, they've had their 3 other children taken from them.
