Joe Montana blames Brady for DeflateGate as DeMaurice Smith & Dean Blandino deflect Super Bowl attention

NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith indicated in a media session with reporters yesterday that the NFL will not be interviewing players regarding Deflategate until after the conclusion of the Super Bowl. So...the league has basically swept this under the carpet for 2 weeks.

Dean Blandino, the league's VP of officiating, added: “We did review what happened pregame, and from everything that we reviewed and all the information we had, the balls were properly tested prior to the game." Asked, stupidly, if this had been a sting operation to catch the Pats, Blandino replied, “And then there was an issue that was brought up during the first half. A football came into question, then the decision was made to test them at halftime. There’s an investigation going on, I can’t get into too many specifics but really that’s the chain of events that occurred.”

Yeah, dummy - there was a sting in place and the NFL just decided once they'd caught Bill Belichick and Tom Brady to not act on the outcome with fines and suspensions.

Joe Montana couldn't care less about interviews and the chain of events. He knows what went down. According to Montana, there’s only one person "who would be allowed to authorize the manipulation of game balls, and that person is the quarterback."

“If I ever want a ball a certain way, I don’t do it myself,” Montana said, via the Boston Globe, following a promotional appearance for Papa John’s. “So, somebody did it for him.

“But I don’t know why everybody is making a big deal out of trying to figure out who did it. It’s pretty simple. If it was done, it was done for a reason.”

You know it Joe.
