Francesa sure can call ’em
Land of Lost Tapes: During Daniel Murphy’s second year in the majors, Mike Francesa at least twice authoritatively insisted Murphy never, ever would hit big league pitching.

Late in this regular season, a caller suggested the Astros, a game back in the wild card, will be tough if they meet the Yankees in a one-gamer, especially with Houston starter Dallas Keuchel.
Francesa trashed the poor guy, bullied him, claimed the Astros were done and Keuchel’s irrelevant — the Angels had the other wild card locked.
Keuchel went six innings, allowed three hits and struck out seven in the Astros’ 3-0 wild-card win at Yankee Stadium.
